NKG Kite Festival, Beacon Country Park 19-20. June

Postby gwen » Tue Jun 08, 2010 8:23 am

I hope, like me, you are looking forward to the annual NKG Kite Festival at Beacon Country Park, which is always an enjoyable and relaxing kite flying weekend. This year it will be a uniquly Kite Festival event, without the additional attractions in adjoining fields.
Caravans and campers will be welcome from Friday lunchtime to Monday morning. Facilities will be provided for day visitors and the public and Go-Kites will be trading as usual.
A kite related auction will take place on the Saturday evening, so please bring suitable items.
If you, like me, have difficulty deciding what kites to bring, here is a preview of the programme, which may help you decide.
Rokks and Rollers
Altitude Sprint
Animal Magic
Formation and Trick Flying
Teddy Drop
Oriental Kites
Fighter Kites
Mass Fly and NKG Kites
At 5pm on the Saturday evening there will be a special presentation , details of which will be revield at the aviators meeting on the Saturday morning.
I look forward to seeing you all and to welcoming new NKG and other kite club members.
Fingers crossed for fair winds (from the South West) and sunshine.
See you soon,
Gwen

Hi Gwen,
Mr green has told us, out of respect, we must all respond to your "Beacon Park" subject.
RESPONSE:- I will be attending both days and will be bringing all necessary components for "THE FLYING COLOURS TEDDY DROP".

Does Mr Green accept this as an official response? RSVP.

TTFN,

Selwyn.

Hi guys this may be of interest - Champion Newspaper. http://www.champnews.com/picture_library/viewsearch.asp?search=1

When the page opens type in KITE in the search box. This will give you access to the photo's taken at the Beacon by Chamion's reporter.
