First,please be gentle.Im a Virgin when it comes to this building stuff.

Thread,Gutermanns Polyester[100%].Will any Polyester thread do the job.I realise it has tobe coulor fast and 100%polyester,but does it have tobe Gutermanns,is it that its the best quality,,,,,

Also,Ta Neil for an excellent evening in Sewing with me,realy was a help and enjoyable,,,,,,OMG,never thought i would be doing that :lol: :lol: .

Guttermann's is certainly my thread of choice. The great thing is that they have a great range of colours, lengths and most sewing shops sell it.

A bit belated but others may read this.
If you use Black or White you can get the large 250m bobbins of Gutterman. They do them in lot of colours as well but you wont see the colour when the kite is in the air.
Most of my kites are sewn with straight stitch. Zig Zag nearly always puckers up to leave a little ridge.
Practise with the bits you cut off and make tails and spinners.


Gutterman do cotton as well as polyester, and heavyweight threads. Read the labels carefully when you are buying.
