St Annes 20th April

Hi Everyone We are promoting the Main St Annes kite festival (27th 28th July) with a press day on the 20th April on the beach @St Annes, varying degrees of the press/sponsers and council officials will be coming along to do bit and peices on the main event and we will be having a fly-in from 11 till late and would welcome as many people as possible to help support the event.

we have chosen this date to tie in with the NKG Fly-in at Fleetwood the following day(Sun 21st April) so you could have 2 days flying within the close proximity of Blackpool if you fancied coming over for the weekend, hope to see you there

We too had a great day out at St Annes. I managed to scupper myself loading a shopping trolley the day before so we didn't bring a lot with us.
Dangerous this shopping malarky. My camera managed to capture some images of the day.

One of my favourites was this picture of Craig's 'Tent City' Manta Ray being admired by an amazed young boy.

The wind was a very light breeze and some of the inflatables were having a hard time of it. In this shot from the pier the wind had just dropped with a number of kites coming to the ground.

What a great day and what a great display. Great NKG show.
A perfect wind, accompanied by an almost clear sky, what more could one ask for.
Pity about today's Fly In at Fleetwood, wet and gussty, however, thanks to all the members who made the effort.
Next stop Millam.
